Hex and Brew
Can Design
A Tapestry of Flavor
Hex and Brew was created around the idea of turning cold brew into something a little more enchanting. The packaging pairs medieval-inspired typography, parchment-like textures, ornamental details, and rich flavor-specific colors with a clean, contemporary can format.
Each can follows the same visual framework while allowing the individual flavor to take on its own personality. Clear hierarchy keeps the product name, flavor, ingredients, and supporting information easy to navigate, while recurring details such as the banner-style logo, decorative patterning, and circular seal create consistency across the collection.
The result is a packaging system that feels handcrafted and story-driven without sacrificing the clarity needed for a modern retail product.
Hex and Brew is an original fictional concept created to explore beverage packaging, product-line development, and cohesive visual storytelling across a multi-flavor cold brew collection.
4-Pack Design
A Cohesive Extension of the Elixer
The 4-pack extends Hex and Brew’s visual language from the individual cans into secondary packaging while preserving the personality of the collection. Medieval-inspired typography, parchment tones, flavor colors, and product imagery create an immediate connection between the can and the pack.
Color-coded bands make each flavor or assortment easy to identify, while a consistent layout keeps the collection visually unified. The cans remain the focal point on the front panel, reinforcing product recognition while allowing each variety to retain its own character.
Designed as both packaging and brand experience, the finished system gives Hex and Brew a cohesive shelf presence that can grow naturally as new flavors are introduced.
Visual Identity
Medieval Meets Modern
Ancient mystique reimagined for modern coffee culture
Hex and Brew’s visual identity was designed to bring old-world mystique into a contemporary beverage brand. The primary wordmark draws from medieval lettering, giving the name an unmistakable sense of history, craft, and intrigue without becoming overly ornate.
Decorative swirls, parchment-inspired neutrals, and apothecary-like details reinforce the magical theme, while a restrained layout and clear hierarchy keep the identity grounded in modern packaging design.
The system was built to remain recognizable across every flavor and application. Rather than changing the core identity from product to product, flavor-specific colors create variety while the typography, logo placement, textures, and supporting marks maintain consistency throughout the collection.
Color Palette
Flavors Brought to Life
Color plays a functional role in the Hex and Brew system, giving each flavor an immediate visual identity while keeping the collection connected as a whole.
Mocha Mystique: A deep coffee brown that feels rich, grounded, and indulgent.
Caramel Charm: A warm golden caramel tone that brings sweetness and warmth to the collection.
Lavender Luna: A muted purple that introduces a dreamy, calming quality inspired by lavender.
Mint Mirage: A cool mint green that adds freshness and an unexpected contrast to the richer tones.
Berry Bewitchment: A deep berry red that feels bold, lush, and slightly mysterious.
Together, the five colors make each flavor easy to distinguish at a glance while preserving a consistent family resemblance across the line. The palette gives Hex and Brew room to expand with future flavors without losing the recognizable visual system established by the original collection.
